On Wednesday 14 February 2024, seventeen UK independent bookshops will hold events to raise money for the PEN Emergency Fund which will be ringfenced to provide support to writers at risk who are in and from Palestine.

For every £1,000 we raise, the PEN Emergency Fund will support one emergency grant to a Palestinian writer at risk.

There are two ways you can get involved!

• Buy a ticket for our poetry event, featuring readings from four incredible poets (SOLD OUT)

• Enter the raffle for a chance to win one of nine truly incredible prizes.

Tickets for the poetry event automatically include one raffle ticket (although you can also buy more), and raffle tickets are also available to buy separately if you are not attending the event.

The raffle will be drawn during the event on 14 February, and prizes won by anyone not in attendance will be available to collect from the shop, or will be posted to you free of charge (UK only). Winners will be contacted by email on 15 February.
